Our reporting
Welcome to reporting.giz.de, the online version of GIZ’s tenth Integrated Company Report. This year, for the first time, we are publishing it in digital form only. The company reports from previous years are available here, including as an accessible PDF document: Corporate reports – giz.de.
We have been compiling financial and non-financial information on a voluntary basis in the Integrated Company Report since 2014. This requires us to take a holistic view of our organisation: besides financial data and relevant indicators, the report also shows how, through its global services, GIZ is working with its commissioning parties and partners to respond to global challenges with effective solutions for sustainable development. Under the sections ‘Environment,’ ‘Social’ and ‘Governance’ we provide an insight into our services in the three dimensions of sustainability, collectively referred to as ESG, in stories prepared by our editorial team.
Our reporting in the GRI index table is based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. The table also provides an overview of our progress made towards implementation of the principles of the UN Global Compact, the criteria set out in the German Sustainability Code and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Furthermore, we draw up a Declaration of Conformity with the German Sustainability Code and thereby also comply with the recommendations of the Public Corporate Governance Code (PCGK) on sustainability reporting by federal enterprises. In addition, we prepare a progress report on our implementation of the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact. A questionnaire format for this was introduced in 2022.

GRI content indexThe Integrated Company Report 2023 is published in German and English. We aim to use language that is as inclusive and non-discriminatory as possible.
