Integrated Company Report 2024

encounter

In the current global situation with its multitude of challenges, global, European and German partnerships are the key to our success. By encountering each other, exchanging ideas, learning from one another and pooling our expertise and experience, we work together even more effectively to shape a future worth living.

create

As a trusted partner, we work with our commissioning parties, clients and partners to bring about environmental, social and economic change in the world. Together we create solutions to complex challenges. Our diverse international perspectives enable us to identify interconnections and develop holistic approaches that build on these.

transform

Our overarching goal is to shape a transformation that produces lasting results. Through international cooperation, we aim to improve the future for as many people as possible on a long-term basis. Our work in this context has an impact at three levels: for local people, countries in the Global South, and Germany and Europe too.

More about our workforce

Environment: environmental sustainability is part of our DNA

Embracing corporate sustainability – for us, this means supporting staff engagement, fostering the next generation of young professionals and exploring new paths together.

Social: good working conditions worldwide

One GIZ for all – that is our goal. To achieve this, we engage in continuous dialogue and share ideas and suggestions for improvement. This enables us to make steady progress together, including on the issue of inclusion.

Bernd Lakemeier, Director of Economic and Social Development Digitalisation Division, explains why we can only shape the future together with the private sector. Learn more here.
Sook-Jung Dofel, Strategic Director for Artificial Intelligence at GIZ, illustrates why we need a human-centred application of artificial intelligence. Learn more here.
